Retires from football to spend time with 'old flame'

Haidel Heli has made up his mind - no more State-level football after Sept 17.

He has announced in the printed media on his intention not to seek re-election in the FAS Annual General Election that would take place on Sept 17 at a local hotel here. (Click here)

The former State hockey player said, among others, he wants to give more attention to Sarawak Former Hockey Player Association by which he is the president.

He decided to come forward because he wanted to clear the air on his future plan.

His name was bandied by some quarters as a possible candidate to be FAS number one official after Datu Sudarsono Osman was rumoured not to defend the hot seat in the AGM. (Click here)

It is also rumoured that Haidel is not the only vice-president who will not seek the re-election. (Click here) -TheKuchingSportsNews
