Supports the Crocs - rain or shine, urges David

The Crocs head coach David Usop urged the fans to turn up in full force to cheer and support their team – it’s win or bust.

He was reported by a local English daily in making the call.

The Crocs would be playing against Kelantan tomorrow at the Sarawak Stadium.

David was quoted as urging the Crocs to make full use of their homeground advantage to secure the vital points for the state team’s survival.

Acknowledging the wins over Kelantan on Saturday and Police on Oct 22 were vital, David stressed that there is no room for errors.

He also wants his boys to forget about the 1-1 draw against Selangor and focus on the big task ahead of them.

“As I have said before, we have no alternative but to win the remaining two matches to keep our chances of staying in the league open,” he said.

“As such, I do not want our players to drop any more points and utilise the homeground advantage to secure the six crucial points,” he added.

Apart from meeting Kelantan and Police, the Crocs are set to face Felda United on Sept 24 away.

Meanwhile, David is not perturbed by the vacancy left by defender Hairol Mokhtar who was suspended by the Football Association of Malaysia for six months as there are replacements for the local player.

“We won’t be worrying too much about Hairol’s absence although we do need his services,” said David, who named Dzulfadli Awang Marajieh and Rodney Celvin Akwensivie as the possible replacements.

He is relieved that all the key players are injury-free for the match against Kelantan on Saturday at the Sarawak Stadium.
