Pandelela gets RM0.5million from State Government

The state government has rewarded national diver Pandelela Rinong with a cash incentive of RM500,000 and also named the state aquatic centre after the two-time Malaysian Olympian who won a silver medal with her partner Cheong Jun Hoong in the Rio Olympic Games 2016.

This was announced by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas yesterday at the reception for Pandelela at the Civic Centre, reported TheBorneoPost

Uggah was representing the Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem.

In addition to this, Pandelela also received a condominium unit worth RM700,000 from Tenaga Stabil Sdn Bhd and RM100,000 in cash from Techninier Sdn Bhd.

Last month, Pandelela and Cheong placed second in the women’s synchronised 10m platform during the Olympics.
