Mohd Yazid Mohd Shukori is only 16 years old but he has made many feel excited for him.

Many are eager to see whether the left-footed attacking midfielder could be a good player or waste his talent to be one of those who have unfulfilled talents in football.

Sibu FA manager Dzulkarnaen Ahmad, however, was confident that Yazid could fulfill his destiny as a good player if he is given a proper guidance.

"He has a big potential to make a name in football. He is very talented.

"However, in order to reach his potential, he has to be groomed as ... including nurturing strong self-discipline in him," said the team manager to The Kuching Sports News.

On the teenager's outing in the coming Sarawak Cup, the team manager revealed that there were plans to include him in the first eleven.

Dzulkarnaen said although Yazid was stil young, he had matured in his game.

"However, whether or not he will be in the first eleven, it will depend on the coach's strategy," he added.

On a personal note, the team manager was hoping that Yazid could shine in the Sarawak Cup.

"He has many attributes like the late Sazali Ramli.

"If all go well for him, he is certain to be a Sibu football talisman in three to five years," he said.
