Kapit not in Sarawak Cup 2014

Kapit FA are not taking part in this year's Sarawak Cup tournament due to financial constraints.

This was disclosed by a source to The Kuching Sports News.

He said Kapit did make serious efforts to be in Kuching but unfortunately they failed to raise enough money to pay for the trip.

He claimed that Kapit pulled out about one week before the commencement of the tournament.

"It seems that the State FA have decided not to get a replacement for the slot vacanted by Kapit," he said, adding the tournament was now having fewer matches due to the absence of Kapit. 

He also claimed that the Sarawak FA had not made any decision on whether or not to penalise the divisional association.
