Samarahan FA emerge Sarawak Cup champion

Samarahan FA compensated their lack of stamina with creative football to outwit ATM FA in the final of 2014 Sarawak Cup at the State Stadium on last Saturday

Although the opponents were aggresive in their efforts to find the net, the Samarahan FA keeper Mohd Zakaria was always kept his cool to thwart any dangerous attempt towards the goalmouth.

As a matter of fact, the credits should be given to Zakaria for safeguarding the goalmouth from being penetrated by the opponents when his team mates were already exhausted - committing more and more silly faults as the match progressed. 

The solitary goal in the match was scored by Mohd Hadera Bakri at the 51st minute when he headed the ball from a corner kick into the net.

Samarahan FA received a cash prize totalling RM10,000 while ATM FA received RM7,500 as the first runner-ups.

PDRM FA were joint third with Sarikei FA - both received RM2,500, respectively.
