Face dismissal over love of football

Some private companies are not giving cooperation in releasing their employees to play football at a competitive level.

This was disclosed by a realiable source to The Kuching Sports News.

According to the source, those who want to play competitive football have to take a leave without pay or utilise their own annual leave.
"Because of this, a team management has to look for funds to pay for their loss of wages.

"Some of them (aspiring footballers) will face a dismissal if they continued their desire to play (competitive) football," claimed the source.

The source added there was nothing could be done to help these aspiring players because their rice bowls were at stake.

"As for those working for the government, statutory bodies as well as government-linked companies, such problems do not arise," said the source.
