President Cup and SUKMA 2016 teams' selection trial in Kuching from Nov 29

Aspiring footballers born in the year of 1995, 1996 and 1997 are encouraged to participate in a 2-day selection trial for the President Cup and SUKMA 2016 teams that would be held at the Sarawak Stadium from Nov 29. 

The selection trial would commence at 0300pm. 

To-date, the Sarawak FA had organised similar selection trials in Miri, Bintulu and Sibu that saw a total of 330 youth had participated.

The response for a selection trial for President Cup and SUKMA 2016 teams is very encouraging in the state.

In Miri, a total of 180 youth turn up for the selection trial which was held at the Miri Stadium from Nov 18-19.

While in Bintulu, 70 youth made their way to UPM to attend the selection trial that took place from Nov 20-21.

Today in Sibu, Sarawak FA coach Johnny Dominicus will conduct a selection trial at Tun Ahmad Zaidi Stadium from 9am till 2pm.

Football selection trial for President Cup and Sukma in Sibu tomorrow

SIBU (Nov 21): Sarawak FA coach Johnny Dominicus and his assistants are in town tomorrow to scout for players for the President Cup Under-21 and the 2016 Sukma U-19.

The coach would carry out a selection trial at the Tun Zaidi Stadium from 3pm to 6pm.

This was disclosed by the Sibu FA secretary Abdul Hajis Abdullah as reported by a local newspaper today.

PTBS aims to produce Roger Federers and Serena Williams

Sarawak Bumiputera Tennis Association (PTBS) hoped to produce Roger Federers and Serena Williams in the future.

Its exco, Nur Ashriel Abdullah, as reported by a local BM daily, said there were many sport enthusias among the Bumiputera who wanted to carve a niche in the sport.

"The association is interested to help them to realise their dreams," he said.

37 took part in a futsal refereeing course

A recent futsal refereeing course had received a very good response from the sport enthusiats.

A handful of them took a long trip from Kapit to attend the course which was held in Samarahan.

As a matter of fact, nearly half of the 37 participants were not from the Kuching and Samarahan divisions.
